2007 Independent Music Awards
Winners Announced!
Once again, we're delighted to share with the world a variety of incredible, independent talent. This year's winners represent the full spectrum of today’s Indie artists –diverse; accomplished; succeeding on their own terms.
IMA Winners range from artists with long standing recording credits to emerging talent with growing national fan bases; to developing acts with a draw in their native markets; and hail from 5 continents.
The only thing that separates Indie talent from multi-platinum success is access to major market promotion outlets and a broader definition of what is commercial. That's why the IMAs focus on creating wider recognition for Indie artists from both industry and music fans.
Winners receive yearlong marketing campaigns as well as partnerships and distribution alliances that will place the them in front of millions of music fans and industry decision makers around the world:
- Both IMA Winners and Finalists are featured in an 8-page spread of the 2007 edition of the best-selling industry resource, The Musician's Atlas.
- Winners and Finalists have a track and their contact information included on the IMA jukebox and will be promoted to press, industry and music fans, including more than 10 million music fans and industry.
- Winners in the album and song categories will have a song included on the 2007 IMA Winners CD compilation which will be distributed to 10,000 music fans and industry movers and shakers at music conferences and festivals such as SXSW, Ozzfest, The Warped Tour and other events throughout the year.
- An arrangement with BordersStores.com makes the Winner’s own CDs available for purchase. Additionally Borders Books & Music will spotlight IMA Winners in 12 consecutive "Short List" weekly newsletters that direct more than 9 Million of their opt-in subscribers to the IMA Winners Jukebox at the Independent Music Awards site.
- The IMA Winners compilation will also be available for an exclusive free download on eMusic and the Winners and IMA program will be featured in 11 eMusic newsletters throughout 2007.
Finally…
IMA Finalists also embody more of the best of Indie talent. They too are creating exciting new music beyond the constraints of mass-marketed mainstream recordings.
Because we strongly believe in delivering meaningful opportunities for independent artists & releases, we have created the "Vox Populi" jukebox to provide more opportunities for exposure and promotion.
Visit the jukebox and Vote – these results will be announced on
