What's Piet Listening To?

I'm listening to a lot of new artists that I find mainly on Myspace--all genres except cheesey Chart-Pop.

Then I do listen a lot to my own stuff--I'm sorry, but this is reality. I have to, business-wise, because I record and mix the music myself. Not always fun.

When I find the time I listen to my small vinyl collection, mainly old Soul & Blues stuff, a few Jazz records (mainly vocal): Ray Charles, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Robert Cray, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bob Marley, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto, e.g.

Today's artists include Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo, the Chili Peppers, Prince, Nikka Costa, Gnarls Barkeley, Gorillaz, The Streets and some underground Hip-Hop, J Dilla, Jazzy Jeff, and other more unknown stuff.
