Music Resource Group Urges
Artists To Sing Out Loud

The Independent Music Awards, produced by Music Resource Group, adds a category, Sing Out For Social Action, to the 2007 IMA Program.

    Sing Out For Social Action Category Eligibility:
  • Entries May Cover Any and All Points of View.
  • The IMA Program Accepts Self-Produced, Self-Released and Indie Label Releases distributed by an Independent or Major Label Distributor.
  • Songs Must Be Original Material, No Covers.
  • Submissions must be either single song releases or tracks associated with albums released Between August 12, 2005 and August 25, 2006.
  • Submissions may be either in-studio or live performance recordings.
  • All IMA Submissions Are Judged On The Basis Of Originality and Artistic Quality.

About The Independent Music Awards

IMA Winners and Finalists:

  • Will be promoted in print, broadcast and online media campaigns.
  • Press releases about the program, Winners and Finalists are distributed to 500+ Reg'l, Nat'l and Int'l publications.
  • IMA news and updates are sent to 89,000+ opt-in eNewsletter subscribers.
  • Artist information and clickable links are featured on the Independent Music Awards and Musician's Atlas sites.

IMA Winners:

  • Boston-based radio promotion company The Planetary Group services the IMA Winners CD to 800+ public and college stations throughout North America. Last year's CD was placed on heavy and medium rotation at 300+ college stations, with several tracks hitting Top 5 thru Top 25 spots on the CMJ charts.
  • Mediaguide, a Berwyn, PA-based radio airplay tracking company, provides a year of terrestrial and internet radio airplay results for all tracks included on every IMA winning artist's full-length CD. Mediaguide currently monitors more than 2,500 stations.
