Veteran Film Music Supervisor, Alexandra
Patsavas began promoting Rock shows at area venues while
still in college. In the real world, Alexandra cut her teeth
as an agent-in-training at Triad Artists; moved up to the
Film Music Department at BMI before working for Concorde
Films under the direction of industry mogul, Roger Corman.
Seven
years ago, Alexandra started her own company, the renowned
Hollywood Agency, The Chop Shop. As an avid fan of Indie music, Alexandra specializes in
placing up & coming bands in both films and TV shows. Her credits include:
The O.C., Without A Trace,
Grey's Anatomy, Roswell, Carnivale, Boston Public, Caged
Heat 3000, Black Scorpion 2
“Happy, Texas”, “Wasted” and “Dancing At
the Blue Iguana”. Her music commentaries can also be
heard on NPR's
All Things Considered.

Robert
Goodale:

While no one can dispute that David Bowie is
the genius behind the artist, Robert Goodale was one
of the key people that transformed the Pop chameleon into a music biz
superstar.
For the past twenty years, Goodale has operated on
the cutting-edge of music business and technology. As the
former EVP and head of business affairs of Isolar Enterprises, he
helped navigate Bowie's business and creative affairs
including music, film, new media, TV, corporate and
financial issues. In 1998, Goodale, with Bowie formed Ultrastar
Entertainment, which pioneered online communities
linking artists with their fans and providing interactive
fan management services for top artists such as Bowie, The
Rolling Stones, Sting, Destiny's Child, Avril Lavinge and
Gloria Estefan. Robert is a well-known speaker and panelist
at digital media and music conferences around the world.

Newman:
Billboard Magazine
Billboard's veteran reporter, now West Coast
Bureau Chief and Music Editor, has been covering the music
scene for more than 20 years. Before Billboard re-located
her to Los Angeles, Melinda worked in the New York office in
a number of positions including Album Reviews Editor, Music
Video Editor and a six-year stint as Senior Talent Editor.
Now Melinda oversees the music stories in
Billboard's weekly magazine, writes articles (including a
music industry column, The Beat ) and oversees the
writing efforts of Billboard's LA-based editorial staff. In
addition to Billboard, Melinda has written for a number of
publications including, Musician, Rolling Stone,
the
Christian Science Monitor and Colliers Encyclopedia.

Merri
Cyr: Merri Cyr Photography
Brooklyn-based Merri Cyr has
focused her photographic skills on musicians for most of her
professional life. She has created memorable photos for more
than 40 albums, and her client list includes Sony, Warner
Brothers, Maverick, Mercury, Elektra, Verve, Rolling Stone
and Bang magazine.
In addition to still photos,
Merri is a talented videographer (her work includes a Lilith
Fair video documentary shot for Rolling Stone, and video
projects for Maverick and Sony). She is also the author of A
Wished For Song: Portraits of Jeff Buckley, which includes
360 photos and interviews with Jeff, conducted by Merri. |
