How I Spent My Summer Tour

Seems no matter where on the planet you reside, times is tough – especially for indie musicians who must cajole the muses, mind their careers and squeeze a farthing as far as it will go.

Current wisdom dictates that live performance is the key to indie success – but high gas costs & weak economy make touring more challenging than ever before and impacts everyone on the industry food chain.

We spoke with numerous artists – veterans & rookies - as they prepared and returned from their summer tours to get tips & insights from the road. Overall, spirits are high and most are confident that live music is indeed thriving.
