Saving The West Memphis Three

On May 5th 1993 in West Memphis, Arkansas, 3 young children were reported missing and later found brutally murdered. Ultimately, the only suspects pursued and convicted were 3 local teenagers, whose black wardrobe and taste for heavy metal, marked them as misfits in this conservative southern town. Over the ensuing 13 years, appeals, two award-winning HBO documentaries, a book, defense fund, etc. has not overturned their convictions. Farewell to CBGB's

CBGB's, known to many as the home of underground Rock, to others - it was simply home - is scheduled to close its famous Bowery doors for good in September. What can you say about a no-frills, dark and sticky launching pad that birthed Punk & Hardcore, not to mention bands such as Blondie, The Ramones, Television, and The Talking Heads?
