IMA Winners
CD Compilation reaches the top
of the CMJ Charts
College
stations across North America are groovin' to the diverse
talent featured on this year's Independent Music Awards
Winners CD compilation,
NOW HEAR THIS.
Promoted to more than 500 stations throughout the US and Canada by
leading college radio promotion company, The Planetary
Group, the compilation has already been added to the
playlists of more than 170 stations.
A number of the tracks have been placed on the
competitive CMJ charts - several are on the top 5, top 10, top 20
and top 25 charts - beating out many major label releases.
Only 3 weeks into the campaign and the momentum continues to
grow.
"The response to the Independent Music Awards
Winners CD from college radio is very strong. It's unusual
for a compilation to get this kind of play," said
Planetary Group founder, Adam Lewis. "Radio stations
are impressed with the quality and diversity of the acts and
have responded by charting it on the CMJ Most Added
chart."
More than 100 stations from coast to coast placed the compilation
CD in
medium to heavy rotation, with some of the most enthusiastic
support coming from WMLU in Farmville, VA;
WSWI in Evansville, IN; 106 VIC in
Ithaca, NY; KTRM
in Kirksville, MO; WRGW in
Washington, DC; KKSM in San Marcos, CA;
WMHW in Mt.
Pleasant, MI and KAOS in Olympia, WA.
