ARTISTRY HAS ITS AWARDS
The Independent Music Awards is not a contest or battle of the
bands. IMA artists receive yearlong print, online & broadcast
promotions plus distribution & performance opportunities including
an IMA showcase at the CMJ Music Marathon.
The IMAs represent
the diversity of today’s vibrant indie scene and supports artists
with previous major label releases as well as artists that have only
self-released or appeared on indie labels.

BEHIND THE MUSIC:
---Greg Cooney has completed five musicals for children and two full-length musical theater scores. He has written over 120 songs for a wide range of listeners and has released four albums of original songs for children and the young at heart.
---Cooney's songs can be heard on the Internationally Telly Award winning children’s PBS TV show “Li’l Rhody” on Rhode Island PBS.
--- Cooney travels throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic States performing for school programs and presenting workshops related to music and the environment. When visiting a school, he typically works with the school chorus to prepare them for an evening performance. During the concert,he performs his songs with the school chorus.
