program that helps top-ranked indie artists & releases overcome mainstream obstacles and reach millions of Fans, Programmers,
Talent Buyers, Film, TV & Gaming Music Supervisors, Press and

The IMAs broadens the definition
of what is commercial by giving vetted independent talent access

an IMA showcase at the CMJ Music Marathon.
The IMAs represent
the diversity of today’s vibrant indie scene and supports artists
with previous major label releases as well as artists that have only
self-released or appeared on indie labels.
There are over 50 Music and Design categories including
Genre Song & Album, Social Action Song, Cover Song,
Music Video,

DIRTFOOT, Finalist Alt. Country Song, "Devil Don't Care"
Home = Shreveport, Louisiana
BEHIND THE MUSIC:
---"Here’s their deal: Imagine Nick Cave on a bed of rusty nails, the cover of “Gin and Juice” often mis-attributed to Phish (it was actually the Gourds), some old-timey “Dem Bones,” Old Crow Medicine show culture-clash, and that subtle fecal stench of Mr. Bungle skronk sax craziness: Get theses elements, let them stew in an oaken barrel for a number of years and out comes Shreveport, Louisiana’s Dirtfoot." - Spencer, Synthesis.net
---The band plays entirely acoustic w/instruments ranging from an acoustic guitar, banjo, upright bass, pots n' pans, drums, bells, saxophone and xylophone.
--- CATCH DIRTFOOT PERFORMING AT FOLK ALLIANCE THIS WEEK
