The Independent Music Awards has added initiatives that will help independent record labels promote recent releases as well as current rosters to millions of fans worldwide.
Adding to an already broad spectrum of honors that recognize excellence in more than 50 Album, Song, Music Video and Design categories, the 9th annual IMAs has added an award category that honors Indie Label Promo Compilations.
Submissions for all categories will be accepted through Friday, August 21, 2009.
And to garner even more attention for your roster, we’re offering additional promotional support for labels that submit their compilations prior to May 4, 2009 and wish them to be a part of the May 7 IMA event in NYC that will be streamed live to UStream.tv viewers, a potential audience of 10 million.
The Independent Music Awards Presents: Story Songs will feature 3 IMA artists, Richard Julian, Amy Speace and Kristy Kruger who will share their stories and songs on stage at Symphony Space, home of the popular Public Radio International series, Selected Shorts.
The evening will be hosted by the legendary Anthony DeCurtis and promoted extensively. As a vital member of our independent music community, you’re invited to attend this evening of stories and songs at a special industry rate.
To be included in this special opportunity, we must receive your Promo Compilation CD submission by May 4 along with 150 additional CDs that will be included in the goody bags distributed that evening.
